When you register or interact with the MaxPlex application, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: When you sign in via Google OAuth or create an account, we collect your name, email address, Google unique identifier, and profile avatar.
• Device & System Information: Device model, operating system version (Android Mobile, Android TV, Windows), unique device identifiers, IP address, and app version for session pairing, push notifications, and service stability.
• Watch Progress & Activity: Playback timestamps, completed state, watchlist/favorites, and search history to enable seamless resume-playback synchronization across your paired devices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively for the following operational purposes:

• To authenticate your identity and maintain secure login sessions.
• To enable real-time playback synchronization between your phone, Android TV, and desktop clients.
• To deliver critical over-the-air (OTA) updates, security patches, and push notifications.
• To monitor server health, troubleshoot technical issues, and prevent unauthorized service abuse.

3. Device Permissions Required

To provide core media playback capabilities, MaxPlex requests the following device permissions on Android devices:

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to stream video feeds, retrieve media metadata, and communicate with our cloud infrastructure.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13+ to notify you about new episodes, app updates, and download progress.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Required to maintain uninterrupted background media streaming and offline downloading.
• WAKE_LOCK: Prevents your screen from sleeping during active movie and TV playback.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

MaxPlex does not sell your personal information. We only share necessary data with trusted service providers strictly to perform operational functions:

• Google Identity Services: For secure OAuth 2.0 authentication.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC): For delivering system and content notification broadcasts.

5. Data Security & Retention

All communications between the MaxPlex application and our backend servers are encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3/HTTPS). Sensitive credentials and JWT access tokens are stored securely in device-encrypted storage.

We retain your account and watch progress data only for as long as your account remains active.

6. Account & Data Deletion (Your Rights)

You have the complete right to request the permanent deletion of your MaxPlex account and all associated personal data at any time.

• In-App Deletion: Go to Settings > Profile > Delete Account within the MaxPlex application.
• Web-Based Deletion: Visit our dedicated Data Deletion Request Page to initiate immediate account removal.

7. Children's Privacy

MaxPlex does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our servers.
